Hi List,

Does anyone know if it it possible to have logging switched on for a specific UBE/VERS?

I have a intermittent but reoccurring issue and I want a good log to wade through to try and spot errors.
The users are NOT switching logging on when they run the job (R46171 VJDE0002)

So is there a way I can constantly have logging on for that job so we always capture a log?

Thanks

John

I have one solution, not implemented but it will surely work. Have another enterprise server with logging on. Map only that UBE to that server and watch the logs. I will love to have another solution, but for now this is the only thing I can think of.

Cheers,
Dan.

Does anyone know if there are any BSFNs or System functions that can be used to switch logging on?

I have spotted B986114 which is used by P986114A

But I've never used it

I am thinking of doing a version override for R46171 to allow us to have logging switched on just for that UBE/VERS

Or....
Make an APPL and use the System Fucntion Launch Batch Application

Thanks

John

Another idea I have is place a tank trigger on F986114 to check a new custom table for the following

OBJ VERS ENV EV01 (logging Y/N)
If on, call B986114

What do you guys think of that?
