BOM Diff of QNTY vs. Extended

Confuzzled!

We use B3003090 to define the BOM Explosion, then B3003450 to grab all the parts. We are always building for a Quantity of 1 and most-everything off - we just want the QNTY.

Interestingly - the Actual Quantity and the Extended Quantity often differ - even when exploding for one item.

Really???! This snags my sensibility and makes me wonder off with the lemmings! Why would the QNTY and Extended be different?

Are Shrink Percentages setup in the BOMs?

Shrink doesn't appear to be setup for the items I'm playing with - and I have all flags but Scrap turned off....
