Can any one please explain the reason, why we are selecting the development objects or production objects while installing in Fat machine.

This not an "official reason" just my opinion/musings.

I'd say that it is probably a throw-back to before the web client, when all users used a fat client. Production objects were for users and development objects were for developers and CNCs.

There is a possibility, as currently the fat has two uses - development and administration, that the development/production objects option for installation would be different for single-use (development or admin not both) fat clients. Dual use fat clients (both development and admin) would have the development objects.
