All,
We've got some WS on 6.0.2.28 and they are on Windows 2003. We dont have any plans to upgrade our Tools 8.98.1 or Appl release 8.12. We no longer have Oracle maintenance..

Given the MTRs (or Certify!) has moved on so far i just cant figure out if i can upgrade WebServers to W2008 using the current WAS Version.

Can anyone confirm?

You could -technically- only go so far as Windows 2008. Windows 2008 R2 and Windows 7 on up are NOT supported and there are definite compatibility issues (ANT, etc.)

Now as to whether or not you can migrate to new servers, that's not something I can help you with. Upgrading the OS in place may be your only option if you're not entitled to the software any longer. That's not something I usually recommend, it depends on platform and Windows x86 isn't one of them.

I'm not clear on the terms once you stop paying for support, but in many cases you can't continue to install new instances of any the software you used to have support on. You have to talk to Oracle about that.
