JAVA.exe process for OAM stops

We recently went live with JDE 9.1 and OAM 11.1.1.5.0 on WLS 10.3.5. We are experiencing issues where the Java.exe process of OAM will fail. This then prevents the Single Sign On Page from appearing for user access.

Our work around has been to reboot the server each morning to restart the process and clear whatever is the issue. We have also been able to setup a Server monitor to let us know when we drop below three java.exe processes.

We have an active case with Oracle in trying to decipher what the root cause is.

Just seeing if there are others using JDE and OAM who have had the server instance die after an interval of time or maybe some ideas about this process.

Thanks,

Jeff,

It can sometimes be difficult to diagnose these sorts of issues, but do you have WebLogic managed server logs from the OAM server process that you could possibly email? Often times the WebLogic Managed Server is named "oam_server1".

I do have customers running 9.1 with OAM 11.1.1.5 and WLS 10.3.5. One just went live about a week ago with WebCenter Spaces and OAM integrated with both E1 and WC. So far there haven't been any issues with the java process terminating without warning.

Since posting this, have you setup the WebLogic Node Manager to perform crash recovery of managed servers?
