Forward Scheduling

We know that JDE does Backward Scheduling but are there any options for forward scheduling? We want to forward schedule Work Orders based on parts availability and capacity (labor & machine). We are on One World Xe SP24.

Standard JDE work order functionality does not forward schedule. Advanced Planning and Scheduling is needed to perform the action you are requesting. This is an add-on module for XE. It will plan and schedule your work based on all criteria, but it takes a significant amount of setup to operate.

Thanks Devin! Do you have any experience configuring the APS software? I guess it is not for the faint of heart?
