Query regarding implementing bar code in JDE (manufacturing)

Hi,
I would like to know how we can implement bar code within JDE Manufacturing module?

As per my knowledge , we would require a bar -code generation software and a bar code scanner for the same (something like the DSI dclink which is external to JDE)

But here I wanted to ask if there is any barcode logic inbuilt in JD Edwards already.

Just wanted to get guidance from you guys if the latest JDE version has some changes.

I am on JDE 9.1 with tools release 9.1.0.5.

JDE can generate bar codes but you could also use software like BarTender to create the bar codes. You can use software like DSI or use a JDE solution to perform transactions like WO Completion etc. .

i'm not so familiar to this . but i wanna recommend a barcode site for you, just hope helps ! there you can find the barcode generator tool for any types of barcodes, and you can also find the barcode reader ,which reads many types barcodes. <font color="black"> </font> <font color="black"> </font>
