BI Publisher email bursting capabilites

Documentation states BI Publisher can burst reports and email them to multiple addresses, etc..

I need to take a large E1 pdf (scheduled job) and burst it to x# single page pdf's and email each page to a different person whose email address is in E1. I then need to attach each single pdf to the respective record in E1 for reference and audit purposes.

Does anyone have experience with this functionality? I am interested in how well it works, ease of implementation, maintenance, etc..
