Does Your Company Include Freight Costs in the Cost of Your Products?

Our Operational Controller has requested me to see if I can find some companies on EnterpriseOne 9.0 that incorporate the freight costs into the cost of their products. If your company does so could you please email me tdemoure@oyogeospace.com so I can forward your contact information over to him.

    Thanks

Actually after receiving further clarification from my colleague, I determined that he is actually looking for companies that incorporate the freight costs on their purchases into their standard costs. I have already shared with him information on how EnterpriseOne Landed Costs can facilitate this but he will still be desiring to talk to some companies that currently have business and/or system processes in place for this.

We use an XF Cost component add on with different percentages for foreign and domestic freight

Hello Terry, I logged onto the JDElist sight seeking for other JDE clients that roll freight costs into material at the invoice level. The workaround solution applied has worked out until we encounter split lines at ship confirm. I am really interested to see what other JDE clients are using.

    Hi Terry,

We are facing similar issue. We need to add Fright cost into Item Inventory cost after ST/OT from Mfg. plant to Distribution B/P and business wants to add the freight charge with Std. cost to get true cost. We are using Std. Cost and also we use transportation for Freight/carrier cost setup.

    Any help is appreciated.

    Thanks
