UBE: Retrieve of UBE file failed. The file may not exist on Enterprise Server.

Some users (not all of them) are getting this error message:
UBE: Retrieve of UBE file failed. The file may not exist on Enterprise Server. Users are running report R5504305P.

Could someone please advise what is causing this issue.
 
So, let me make sure all these conditions are met:

1) You are running a custom UBE.
2) The jobs are all running to 'D' status, no 'E' or other statuses when they try to view the PDF.
3) No other errors in the job logs that might prevent the job from producing output.
4) Some users get output, but others do not.
 
This message means that the output selected (pdf, csv, ..) was not found on the enterprise server.
There could be several causes to that :
- Do you have several entreprise servers, and if so did user selected the right server to access their submitted jobs ?
- Did the users selected the right output type ? (didn't they selected "csv" with a pdf only ube)
- the ube didn't generate any output, which probably means there has been a error while running.

Can you reproduce this error ? Does it occurs only in production, or in several environments ? Do you use several versions of the ube, and if so, is the issue occurs on a particular version or not ?
When it occured, did you try to go to the submitted jobs application and selected "view/jde.log" to check if any error was trapped ?

Thank you everyone. The issue was resolved after restarting the server. The pdf files were genarated and available on the E1 server but somehow some clients were getting errors. Your help is appreciated.
