Adding Application Shortcuts to Desktop in 8.12

In older releases of E1 (B71.4 - 8.9), it was very simple to add a shortcut to an end user's machine that would launch them directly into an application (prompting for user ID/password of course). Is there a simple technique to achieve this same functionality in 8.12? I need to apply simple access to Asset Management apps on multiple machines in a production environment. Thanks

Using the parameterized URL functionality should do what you want. There are many docs on the KG - ID 659379.1 is a good place to start.
