Base Currency Conversion

Has anyone done a "base currency conversion" in XE or later releases? If so, can you please share some of the background on issues encountered, for example, and perhaps how long it took from a project plan perspective from initiation to GO LIVE.

I never had to do one, THANK GOD, but I seem to remember JDE indicating prior to the Euro conversion that clients should allow in excess of 18 months. Anybody else remember back that far?
