We are in the process of implementing JDE (E900 - Version 9.0 release 8.98.20) at our company. We are since yesterday getting the following message "An unknown JAS sign in error occurred. Please contact System Administrator". The db, app and ws runs on AIX 6.1 and deployment server on Win 2003 std Edtn.

We have lost almost 2 implementation days with this issue. Any and every help will be appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Login to the server manager and check the JAS logs. This is a generic error message, you need to check the logs and find the actual error message.

Check the JDBC driver=2C are you applying proper jdbc driver for webserver.

What steps have you taken to resolve the issue so far? Have you tried restarting the web servers yet? Also, the security kernel log may give some information on the issue if the problem is on the enterprise server side.

Is this the first time youa re trying to signon into JAS?. or it worked before and stopped working?.

As said before this error is very generic and needs more info.

Booting all services should work. Make sure you take down each JAS instance first, the web server, the Logic, and the database (in that order) and reverse the order when bringing the resources back up.

We're on 8.98 and that has happened a few times.

It would be good to post your logs.

u can try re - create JDE system user. P980001 application.
