Hi,

Is it possible to apply Deployment Server tool release via Server Manager ?

Thanks.

We are using an AS400 and no, it still needs to run manually on the Deployment Server.

We are running on Windows 2003 and you to run the update locally on the deployment server. I think it has something to do with the fact that server manager typically runs on the deployment server. What tools release are you installing? I had a small issue with 8.98 that I did not have in 8.97. What application release?

Tools Release Client Package is provided as binary package, so you must run it on the Deployment Server – what it actually does is to simple replace some files (System and others directories) and put some information in the registry.

All the rest of the process of applying new tools release is done mostly from Server Manager, but Tools Release upgrade is a risky operation – you must rebuild all you pathcodes (build full packages) and redeploy all fat clients so why bothering if it can only be done from SM ?

I am curious if its possible from Server Manager.
I think its not possible as per the comments from all.
