World listers,

The site I'm at isn't using inventory locations or lot# tracking.
They'd like to start using both.

Currently, they are using Super Back Flush (31123) to complete WOs.
This doesn't allow them to enter lot or location.

I'd like them to start using WO Completion, which does allow these.

Are there any significant differences in how these appls "complete" the work order?

Is there any reason why they should NOT use WO Completion?
The menu item has been noted as "DO NOT USE".
Whoever made that note has long since left.

Please AND Thanks

Check your processing options on Super Backflush. It calls a version of WO Completions. If you don't see it, it could be set to do a blind WO completions. Just change to processing option to display the WO completions screen. Then you can add your Lot/Location info.

Still playing w/SBF etc, now looking for where "actual hours" (machine/labor) are captured.

I didn't notice it w/in WO completion.
I didn't notice a p/opt for it either.
Where does this occur?

Please and thanks.

Here's an Xe anwswer, perhaps it is similar for World...

Actual hours (and operation quantities) can be entered via P311221 (stored in F31122), and R31322 (proof) and R31422 (update) can then post those hours to WO Routing accumulators.

In Xe, if you use Time Entry P051121 for payroll purposes, a processing option on the "Manufacturing" tab can be set to automatigically feed F31122 during Time Entry.

Thanks Curt!

I HAD looked at that, but stopped short of the "TH" (Type Hours) column.
Not the first time I stopped looking to early.....

Gene:

Take a look at the processing options of the Super Backflush again. Like the completions option, there will be another for hours and quantities entry. Make sure that is not also set to be blind.

I HAD noticed that.
I HAD ALSO looked at Hours and Qtys.
Lastly, I HAD OVERLOOKED "type of hours".

What can I say? I have forest/trees issues.....
