Changing Primary Location

Hi

We are currently trying to update a lot of our locations in our warehouse by this i mean changing the Primary location.
Most of these locations have currently got open purchase orders on them therefore once the operator tries to update the primary the system comes back with an error saying not possible. So the operator gets the PO updated to reflect a different location (Secondary) however the F41021 table does not reflect this change.
I have run the 'Repost Purchase Order" program (R43990) however this does not move the qty to the new location on the PO.
Does anybody know which job i can run to update the F41021 table to reflect the 'On PO' qty to the new location.

We are using E1 8.12

Mark.

Hi,

you should ensure you have no quantity available in the locations you want to delete, if you use transfer orders, you need to purge all quantities in transfer. then you could have also work or sales orders created commitment so run R3190 and R42995.

Hope it helps.

Thank you

However I am more interested in the Purchase order part of this question
i.e. When a purchase order is created the qty goes on the primary
location by default therefore the "LIPREQ" field on the F41021 table
gets populated with this qty. My question is how can I move that qty to
a different location (secondary) for this part number. What I tried was
to change the location on the purchase order and then run the R43990
job, While this program does update the F41021 table for the record in
question to does not move the LIPREQ qty to the location now specified
on the Purchase order.

Is there any standard JDE job which will move this qty to the correct
location on the F41021 table? or do I have to wait until the purchase
order is moved to 'In-Transit'

Regards

Mark,
I'm going back a bit in time here, about two years ago I needed to create new secondary locations, then move the primary qty to the secondary, then delete the Primary. I believe I achieved the qty move from P to S by way of Excel spreadsheets and the use of R4141 Z1 - Cycle Count Upload. Then I used SQL to flip LIPBIN from P to S and vice versa. Next step was to run Open PO REpost to move the Open PO amounts to my new Primary. Finals step was to delete the unwanted secondary (the original Primary) by use of SQL. What I could not guarantee to the customer was the integrity of the F4111 after this activity. From a F41021 viewpoint it worked fine.
