Let's see......

You can copy it to Microsoft Word. Or MS Excel. Or MS Powerpoint. Or how about Notepad, or WordPad. In fact, most of the programs running on your computer will accept text if you first copy it, and then paste it.

A little more information would help - for starters, your system information (are you on Xe, 8.10, 8.11, 8.12???).

My best guess is that you are trying to copy the description of the data item from the "What's This" popup...is that right?

If this is what you are trying to do, you can't do it from there. You will have to get this information from the JDE data dictionary.

Your system admin or CNC folks should be able to tell you how to get this, or get it for you. Depending on your role, you may or may not have access to the Data Dictionary application.
