    Application shortcuts/attachments and Citrix

    ISSUE:
If a user receives an e-mail with an EnterpriseOne shortcut as an attachment, but does not have EnterpriseOne installed on their local machine the shortcut will not open.

    As per JDE Customer suppport,
The e-mail message with a .jde shortcut must be opened on a machine that has EnterpriseOne installed locally. If the user normally views their e-mail on the terminal server and EnterpriseOne is also installed on that terminal server then the shortcut will function correctly. If a user normally accesses E1 through a published app on Citrix the .jde will not cross onto the Citrix server. Citrix does have functionality for file association and redirection, but customers must contact Citrix for info on the capability and setup of these features

    Can somebody advice please.

Normally, a fat client installation would create an association for the .jde extension to launch the fat client, either oexplore.exe or activconsole.exe. If all clients are on Citrix, then you must manually create the .jde association to launch your Citrix published app.

When the Citrix admins publish Oneworld they should be able to set up content redirection then e.g. the file assocation. If it's drilldown reports e.g. you open a pdf and then click on figures in the report which then opens OneWorld you have to copy the drilldown.exe to the users local PC.
