MAKE USER DON\'T SEE TABLES

EnterPriseOne 8.12 Oracle 10g

we need some programmers that use toad don't see some tables, but all the schemas are inside PUBLIC, may i remove
this the tables from public?? and grant the JDE User with this tables? how can afect JDE application?

any help i will appreciate...

Yes, you can do that. Just make sure the security alias, and a couple of important canned users have permission to the tables.

Besides the security alias (or aliases if more than one), make sure the PRODDTA (or similar user) also has permission, so you can do things like regenerate the table or indices.

Just beaware if you regenerate the table the public permission will come back.

I call it a security alias. In recent versions of E1, it is known as the System User.

It is a translation of the E1 User ID and password into a single user that accesses the back end database so you won't have to maintain all the user IDs and passwords on the database as well as in E1.
