Additional Enterprise Server Installation

Hello Gurus,

I am in middle of installing a secondary Enterprise Server for our JDE E1 8.10 system (ES on WinNT/Oracle). In the Installation Guide, there is a section stating :
=======================================================
1. Perform the appropriate set of operations for your database servers.

For Oracle:

> Create the tablespace (SVM810) for server map

> Set up owner (psft810) on additional enterprise servers
=========================================================

I am a bit confused about the above. Does it mean that I
need to manually create a new tablespace (eg, SVM810_2)
with a new schema owner (eg, SVM810_2) before I run
Installation Workbench in PSFTPLAN env ?

And after Installation Workbench is run, there will be
three distinct schemas holding seperate sets of tables
(F98611, F986101, F986110, F986111, F986113, F98DRLOG,
F98DRPCN) ?

Am I correct about these ?

Many thanks for any advice...

Yes to both, although there may be variations: you could use the same tablespace with a new owner, or even share these tables across multiple servers.

If unsure, do as the manual says - any deviations from these instructions may require additional actions.

Hello Gurus,

Thanks a lot for Alex's clarifications!

I created the extra schema owner/tablespace and re-run
Installation Workbench; now the secondary ES is working.
Weird thing is that Installation Workbench itself won't
create any table; I need to manually run R98403 to create
tables and copy entries from SVM810 first.

Now I can see three sets of OCM mappings (F986101) in my
system :
OCM #1 in DS "System - 810"
OCM #2 in DS "MYES01 - 810 Server Map"
OCM #3 in DS "MYES02 - 810 Server Map"

My understanding is that OCM#1 is for all P programs and local UBE's on FatClients and JAS, OCM #2 is for UBE's submitted to MYES01; whereas OCM #3 is for UBE's submitted
to MYES02. Am I correct ?
