Windows 64bit

This post goes hand in hand with the post pertaining to SQL 2005. I am also looking to put the data store for JDE on a SQL 2005 machine running on Windows 2003 R2 64bit. Is there anyone out there with this type of configuration or perhaps a SQL 2000 instance running on Windows 2003 64bit? I was unsure if JDE used any proprietary OLE DB drivers to connect to SQL Server that might not be compatible on a 64bit OS.

Also does Oracle post a list of supported configurations on any of the customer portals out there?

We were initially told from E1 Support that while the E1 Middleware Application will not run on 64-bit Windows, the database can. Therefore we bought brand new 64-bit database hardware and installed Windows 2003 64-bit OS, running SQL 2000 64-bit DB.

It's a long story but we found out a week before go-live that they do NOT support ANY 64-bit OS for the DB either. Obviously we were quite upset at this change. The official MTR on the Oracle customer connection website does show that it is not supported on 64-bit at this point.

We're going forward with it anyways. All our testing to this point has showed there is no issue for us running SQL 2000 64-bit. Not sure what is holding up the E1 support team from certifying this.
