Slowness of JDE XE SP23 after V5R3 Upgrade

We have completed a V5R3 OS upgrade to our Model 820 AS400.
We were on V5R2. We applied I-series Access for Windows SP13587 to our clients, and we are at Cume level C4272530, DB level 3, and Group Hiper level 34. Our clients are experiencing unusual slowness with the JDE XE application since the upgrade. What do you recommend ?? Thanks.

We are running SP23_C1 with V5R3 and no problems. Our iSeries Access (Client Access) is at SI16496, still not the latest. I would upgrade your client access and check the IBM APAR (II13878) for JDEdwards to make sure your up to date.

Such an open-ended question… and there is no silver bullet.

- Perhaps you're not up to snuff on all of the IBM fixes. Here is a website listing the latest fix packages:

- Your Client Access service pack seems old. Here is the latest:

http://www-912.ibm.com/s_dir/slkbase.nsf/ibmscdirect/A82083CB9EEC3E1786256EBC0057F105

- you should also check your ODBC settings against oracle/ibm/centerfield recommended settings

Hope this helps.

All My Best,

First determine WHAT is slow, is it batch jobs or OneWorld interactivity? Are you using Web, thin or fat clients? Is it specific inquiries, like the TB by Object? Check your performance reports, see which resource is bound, disk, processor or memory? If none, then nail down a specific OneWorld job and run the Database monitor against it. If you don't know what I'm talking about, call IBM.
