Taking update packages via the VPN

Does anyone have experience with taking update packages over a VPN? Our work from home users use the terminal server to run OneWorld. I have one user that does testing. She likes to compare testing results between her locally installed OneWorld and the terminal server. She said she gets an error message taking update packages. It happened a while ago and she didn't report the problem at the time or record the error message. Please share your experiences and opinions. It will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Hi Patty,

Is your user a gluten for punishment or just VERY patient? Assuming
your user had a full T-1 worth of home connectivity (big assumption), that
still equates to have a 1 megabit LAN connection. If you tried to
pull down a full package at that pace, you'd be waiting quite a while. I
would have your user come in the office for major updates or you could
burn a cd for her and mail it.
