maximum size TAM specs

Dear all,

I just wanted to know what is maximum number of bytes a specs file (GLBLTBL.DDB or .XDB) in JDE can handle?

Does 8.9 handles higher bytes of Specs than XE?? IS there a limitation on the indexes ??
