Work Center ,BU & UDC

Hi List,

Can anyone through some light that-
1.Whenever er define a Work Center it has to be defined as a BU first.
2.In Bussiness Unit there are 1-30 UDC's are there.
3.Can I Utilise these UDC for generarting reports for the related Work Centers?
4.Can I use what are the Machine nos in description for that work center?

1. Yes, every W/C must be a BU (F30006 = F0006)
2. Yes, the F0006 has lots of Reporting Codes but F30006 does not.
3. Yes, you can use Reporting Codes however you want to within reason. If you are writing a Report then you can create Business View join over F30006 and F0006 joining at MCU. (For example: I have used a spare F0006 Cat Code to be printed on R31415 before in order to force a Page Break.)
4. Don't understand this question.... A description can be anything you want but it can only be in the F0006....

The F3003 actually allows you to enter a different description on the Route.
