We wanted to modify Receipt routing steps to include Freight Charges before the item reaches 'In Stock' level. The way the activity rules are defined as standard are:
1. Transit stage (Update Transit)
2. CP Stage (Update OP, REC, Pay, GL Cat)
3. In Stock (Update O/H)
In standard JDE functionality, freight charges won't be calculated until last rule is hit. However, we wanted to pay freight at 2nd step, because that is where we are liable to pay for the item and the freight although the item hasn't been reached our warehouse yet. If we don't pay freight at the time, sometimes we are ended up paying interests or late charges on freight payments.
Does anyone know how to solve this issue? Can it be done through changing setup on activity rules or modification to R09801 or for that matter, any other standard program is essential?
