Convert Aplha Verible to Numeric

Hi, All
I have difficult to convert in ERW Alpha variable to Numeric.
Good example is a PO# Ledger file keeps PO as Alpha but CARDEX as Numeric. Please help.

Hi Paul,

There are several standard type conversion BSFN in OW/E1, but you can do many of this easily via assignment, using Experssion Manager.

In the ER Designer:
- Select Assignment (x=)
- Select your alpha variable as left hand operand from the lower left list
- Press the f(x) button beside "From Object/Literal" input field
- Select your numeric variable as righ hand operand from the lower left list
- Press OK to finish the statement
