Parent/child Form and Web Client

Hi all
I am trying to do partial text search in Parent/Child Foorm. (eg: *green* using form control). If I keep that field as Filter (with wild character), then it is working fine in Web client but not working in FAT client. To make it working in FAT client, I have used DD field instead BSVW field and passed FC value to QC column. This is working in FAT client but not in Web client.
At the same time Search & select form is working in both Web as well as in FAT client when I keep DD control and passing FC value to QC column.
How to make work in both FAT as well as in Web client for Parent/Child Form search?
Can anybody help me on this?

I beleive, based on what I've seen in the Peoplesoft Announcements
from Google's News - that IE and Safari (Apple/MAC) are the only
supported browsers.

I have tested the JDE application P98860 in FAT client. In that also if you search like *CLASS* no output is coming.
Is it not possible to do partial text search (using wild character)?
