Is anyone using Q-Software's production for security in Enterprise One? And what do you think. We have already setup security without it and I know I could have saved a lot of money if I would have had it before doing all the work. Thanks, Detroit Bobby

We've been using QBuild coming from Xe/ERP8 and finally ended up with EO8.9. looking at the resulting 20.000+ records that have been created I do not believe that this tool can really help in maintaining security. But there is another downside. Due to the changes in security from 8 to 9 role hierarchies cannot be maintained. And QSoftware do not even have an 8.9 installation to give it a try.

As a clarification to the previous posting - QBuild is able to build and maintain security for EO 8.9 roles. The conversion of QBuild to support EO 8.9 is in progress and is targeted for general availability in July 2004. A white paper on QBuild and EO 8.9 is available from [email protected].
