Can\'t send to external email address in workflow

I am using OneWorld Demo version to test if workflow can send to external emails.
    1. I modified JDE.ini, let it points to my mail server (Exchange server).
    2. Asked mail server administrator to allow anonyous access on outbound security.
    3. Changed preference to external email address. (name@yahoo.com)

When I ran the workflow, it's supposed to send email to yahoo, but it sent to work center. There was no error in jde.log.
BTW, if I changed preference to internal domain address, it worked well.

It's an emergency. Anyone has the way to solve the problem, please help.

    Thanks a lot.

Which version of EnterpriseOne (OneWorld) are you using? The workflow emails externally at the same time as the work centre email only in Xe or later. Both the external email and the work centre have short cuts to the required application. The external email may contain a shortcut to the work centre instead of the required application.
    Thanks, Peter

    Thanks, perterbruce.

I'm using OneWorld DEMO version. Now it can send to external emails when mail server administrator changed the Exchange server outbound security to allow anonymous access. Initially something was wrong with exchange server configuration.

The problem with exchange server is that now it becomes vulnerable.

Is there other way to make workflow sending external emails as well as enhance the outbound security of exchange server?

    Thanks.
