Hi,

Recently we have done a fresh installation of ERP 8. We have gone as per the installation manual. I had to build the cross reference but the problem is i submit the versions but i dont get any output & it completes immediately.
Could any one of you let me know are there any specific steps to be followed to build cross reference.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.
Sneh

Hi,
You need to create your own versions and change the path code in PO.

Sheh,
What do you mean by "I had to build the cross reference ..."? May I ask who asked you to do so, and why?
The FULL Cross Reference eats A LOT of space on your DB, AND it gets old the moment new mods are implemented.
I run Xref for the object I'm interested in, only a few times a year; but I am using the OneWorld Exporter (OWX) tool, on a daily basis, to get all the information I need (I've wrapped it up in a OW Interactive Application :) for any object (except versions).

Sneh,

You can run Xref from within the application. There is an exit option that says rebuild relationship then you select you version or you create a new one. I built this a few weeks ago on ERP 8.0 with out any issues, I did the build all objects.

Hi ,

Thanks for your responses. The problem i was facing is I was running it on server instead of local but now since i have submitted it locally its running fine.

Andrian I would like to know what is One world exporter tool. could you tell more about it.

Thanks
Sneh

Check out the download section of the list and you'll find it there. Excellent tool.

Attached is the output_file that includes the exported specs; for your convenience, the sample shows the interface I was speaking about.
Warm regards,
PS OWX is an excellent tool, indeed; I'm still waiting for Brian to publish his BSFNs - it makes more sense to call them instead of launching an executable ... that logs in ... and you wait ...
