smart field

Hi,
I had created a smart field .........i want to include this in tabular report......i had created a tabular report with a BSVW and i tried 2 insert my smart filed there is no option 2 include it....in column menu there is an option create ...>smart field but it is disabled........wht 2 do.......is it not possible 2 include smart in tabular reports ..........i can include it only thro smart field template?
