I am working in Worldsoft 7.3.Can anyone tell me what is the difference between XJDE and ZJDE version.
Thanx

These are a bit of a hangover from the olden days. As far as I know the ZJDE versions are "demo data" whilst XJDE are used by training exercises.

X versions are overwritten when an upgrade is done and Z version are
manually upgrade if they have been changed.

Versions are there for your use and certain program are required to use
the X or Z versions.

Hmmmnn...think I first saw this when release A6 came out (or maybe it was
when release 7 came out). From memory the XJDE's relate to the old release
and the ZJDE's are their equivalents in the new release. Be very aware that
some programs are effectively hardcoded to use the ZJDE0001 version of
another program - AR account status summary for example when you switch
between "real time" and "as of".

Hope this helps.

My understanding was same as this note. The XJDE's are freely overwritten by JDE on an upgrade. The ZJDE's are changed only via the Special Instructions you get after an upgrade. XJDE's were new sometime after A5. It's not real common to find both XJDE and ZJDE versions in the same form from what I've seen as well.
