Skip a Line in Dream Writer

I want to skip a line everytime a field value changes when writing out a detail line in dream writer. I cannot achieve that in World Writer.
Should I made changes in my Report or the RPG program.

Any help would be appreciated.

This can be done in a World Writer (you said "I cannot achieve that in World
Writer"), do you need to know how to do this in a World Writer or a Dream
Writer or BOTH?
Like I said - you can do it in a World Writer.
In a Dream Writer you would need to change the RPG program to test for when
the field has changed then print a blank line, you would need to add a
record format in the printer file for a blank line.

If you want to be able to do it in World Writer, then go to the
'Additional Parameters' screen in the world writer you want to change.
The 6th line on that page is titled 'Default Line Spacing' and the value
that you place in that field is the number of lines to advance before
printing the next detail line.

If you also have total lines, but do not want to advance the same number
of lines as you are advancing the detail lines, you can change the line
space for total lines in the Data Sort & Totaling area where you
actually define the total lines.

Note: when a printed line is wrapped, the wrapped lines are all single
spaced.

Re: RE: Skip a Line in Dream Writer

I am so sorry. I should have said " I can achieve that in World writer".

Anyway that's a very creative idea " Blank record format". I surely try that out.

Thanks heaps

That's for additional information. Infact my wording in the post was not correct. I mean to say " I can achieve that in World writter but not dream writer"
