vertex payroll and Tax Area Constants

We're running JDE payroll and have stumbled across the following issue: In program P060101 (Employee Entry), if we have the Vertex lib in the library list for the job and the appropriate processing option set to "2" to use Geocoder to assign the work and residential tax areas, the geocode defaults into the tax area as expected. The program will not allow the employee record to be written, however, if the geocode is not also set up in the JDE Tax Area Constant file (F069016). I'd expect either JDE or Vertex to supply a utility to load F069016 from the Vertex geocodes but each vendor points to the other as being the responsible party for such a utility. Has anyone else stumbled across this issue and, if so, is writing our own utility the only solution available besides inputting all needed geocodes into JDE manually? Thanks in advance.

Yes. You need to put in the tax area information manually or write a program. I have not seen a program written to accomplish this task but that does not mean someone out there has not done it.
