Has anyone tested using this feature with EnterpriseOne?

Has a lot of promise for very fast processing of some functions but apparently there's a number of caveats with its use also.

Planning on going to SS2016 next year so in process of investigating features available.

Thanks-in-advance,
Larry

Haven't heard of anyone using it but there is an old white paper that may give some hints. https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dn720242.aspx I'd say it is not likely to be officially supported by Oracle any time soon.

Most customers looking at SQL2016 are doing so because they can take advantage of DB compression without requiring an Enterprise licence.

Yep that's us Russell - we want Data Compression plus other features that used to be in Enterprise but that are now in Standard Edition.
Also didn't care for Oracle "forcing us" to renegotiate our DB license in order to go from 11.2 to 12.c (Standard Edition). They played naming games to say that the Standard Edition is no more and that's why we had would have to buy a new license but really it left a very bad taste in our mouth.

Going to really miss some of the Oracle features such as RMAN and Data Pump. Oh well :-(

Amazing that Oracle sales reps are acting this way. But Larry, WAIT, have you heard about DBaaS?
