Upgrading Local Database

Hi,

Our JDE version is 9.0 and the tools release is 8.98.4.3, Our deployment Server is running Windows Server 2008 R2 and we have sql server 2005 as local database and company audit wanted to upgrade it to SQL Server 2014. Do we have an option to upgrade to SQL Server 2008 atleast? If so what steps need to be followed. Do we have any oracle document for the same.
