Smile JDE 9.2 New Deployment Server - Cannot connect to E1Local

I am building a new 9.2 deployment client. Install logs are clean with no errors. When attempting to login to the JDEPLAN environment I receive the following error:

Could not load environment - JDEPLAN

The jde.log file contains the following (just a subset of the actual log contents...)

I am also unable to connect to the E1Local database using SQLDeveloper or SQLPlus. SQLDeveloper shows the splash screen then goes away...nothing loads. SQLPlus tells me the login/password I'm using is invalid. Hopefully the resolution is the same for both issues.

Thanks for reading/replying to this post. This is my first new/fresh install so please be kind in your replies

Do you have your 32 bit oracle database client in place? Make sure you have the tnsnames file in place there.

Thank you for the reply. I greatly appreciate it. I have the 32 bit client in place. I also copied the tnsnames into this folder (\app\administrator\product\12.1.0\client_1\networ k\admin). Any other suggestions would be deeply appreciated.

Error message clearly saying that there is no table in your database. JDE is able to make the connection with your E1local database. Most Probably your Installation was not successful. Check your Installactions.log from the location C:\Program Files (x86)\Oracle\Inventory\logs to identify the cause of the issue.

It sounds like you had issues in your installation steps.

    1. Did you install the Oracle 32 bit client PRIOR to the installation ?
    2. What do your installation logs state ?

More than likely, you need to start over. Make sure you follow ALL your installation steps in the documentation - including modifying the tnsnames.ora for the 32bit client.

What user/password are you using on SQLPlus to try and login to E1Local? Did you try JDE/JDE? You can also run the ReconfigureDB.exe out of the e920\system\bin32 to reset the system/sys password on the E1local DB to a known password, then you can try and verify the schemas, tablespaces, tables, etc exist or not. B/c that error could also indicate a permissions issue as much as the table actually not existing.

And as Jon stated - check your install logs, make sure the db scripts and data pump imports all ran successfully.

Either your E1local install did not go well or the E1local database load during the deployment server install did not go well. As Jon suggested, you might be well off starting afresh.
    Check this following -
    - Are you able to do a tnsping e1local from cmd?
    - Try connecting to the E1local instance as SYSDBA. Change the sqlnet.ora authenticaltion to NTS ( SQLNET.AUTHENTICATION_SERVICES=(NTS) ) and then connect as sqlplus / as sysdba
    - Once you are connected, try to do a select on JDEPlan920.F986101. see if you get any results.
