Security Server not found - can't login from client

Security Server not found - can\'t login from client

Enterprise One 810 server install - changed server, database, security server in jde.ini to point to new owserver install -- sql service, jde service started -- client won't log in - says security server not found. How to start security server? Also PORTTEST doesn't return anything.

FAT client or web client..? You mentioned you changed the server INI , what about the client JDE INI ?

Are the services running on the new server ?

fat client -- JDE.INI modified on client only -- server=usm1072
database=usm1072
SecurityServer=usm1072

Started SERVICES on server (usm1072):
MSSQLSERVER
PSFT 810

error SEC00000007 - Unable to locate security server

installed JDE PLATFORM (OWSERVER) AND DATABASES ONLY
ATTACHED DATABASES with batch files

no java server installed (its looking for weblogic or websphere - don't have)

Not sure what the SecurityServer is ... client has issue with logging into database.

fat client, was referring to jde.ini on client -- set up odbc sql connection on client and server - oracle sent me a list of database tables to change database server name, checking errors in logs, etc.
