I know it's possible to run Oneworld XE (SP24.1.2) on Windows 2008 R2 Terminal Server. As from MTR, I read "Users running E1 on Windows Server 2008 R2 x64 (64 bit) Terminal Server do not need to be administrators" and "When running E1 components on Windows Server 2008 R2 the user must use ‘run as administrator’".
My problem is: our users are not administrators on that servers, and every time they try to open Oneworld, they need an administrator password.
How can I bypass and solve this situation?
Thank you

Luca,

I believe you are looking to turn off User Account Control. You can do this by running MSCONFIG on the 2008 server, and then launch the "Change UAC Settings" from the Tools tab. Finally, adjust the setting to one that works for you.

Note that this will reduce the security strength of the server, but it does bring it more in-line with the Windows Server 2003 functionality.

Regards,
