When to restart BSSV server?

I like to know when I should restart the BSSV server? Below is the only time I restart the BSSV server. Are there other times?

1) After deploy a new BSSV build

Thanks

It shouldn't really be necessary to reboot a BSSV server even after a package - the only time I need to restart Windows 2008 BSSV servers with WLS 10.3.6 is after patching the OS.

I have noticed if you get a java.outofmemory exception in a BSSV instance running OAS the business services dont work till the container is restarted.

You need to check how frequently your container gets this error and decide if a restart is required to prevent this error from occuring. Example one of my customers has 20 BSSV integrations that get called every 5 seconds. We have noticed the BSSV server will crash after 48 hours hence we restart just the BSSV container everyday using a scheduler program during off working hours. This has ensured a good uptime for all their critical integrations.

Note you need not restart the Oracle services, just the container that has BSSV installed.

Best Regards,
Joel
