CNC interview questions

So funny...especially in this forum. You take the Jose's, the Altquarks', the Fnorellis', the BOK's, and if you really know your stuff...you probably not only can answer any CNC questions, but can name all of these people by name...it's a small community.

I agree with Alt...most probably come from a support background...agree with Fnorelli...you'll be asked everything under the sun...and with BOK...you'll need to convince them you know everything about everything and can also run the phone switch, the international phone trunks, make chicken piccata, etc...

Fact is...CNC is a specialized knowledge that is usually obtained by those that have extensive support and platform sys admin experience, and were put in some opportunity to learn OW/E1 CNC. There's really no class to take...(yes, there are...but are they helpful?)

I mean really...any of you all working on 8.12, which has numerous technical changes with 8.96 and all else...did you take a class? Doubtful...the successful one's are the ones that had experience before and can "figure it out".

That said...a successful CNC person can probably teach anyone that does have good support and networking skills, and is knowledgable in the platform the company wants to run E1 in, with a minimum of expense and time.

True knowledge will only come with time, though...IMHO.

As an aside...usually companies looking for CNC people, recently had one leave, and the interviewers for the most part are not that saavy on E1 CNC...tell them that CNC actually stands for "Can Not Compute"...

Ok...sorry...just kidding...
