Minor issue

JDE List,

I refreshed my DEV from my CRP environment and everything seems to work fine
except when I go to check an object out (like a version on a UBE) there are
no values in the "Location" or the "Path Code" field so I am not able to
check these versions out.

I can run the versions and they are fine in my other environments but not in
my DEV (refreshed) environment.

OW B73.3.2 SP11.3
NT 4.0 Enterprise Server SQL Database inc. COs
NT 4.0 Deployment Server (of course)
"fat" Win95/Win98/WinNT clients

How did you refreh your environment? Through JDE tools or through SQL tools?
Did you refresh the Control Tables, Central Objects and Business Data? Was
DEV previously installed? If you used SQL tools then you must manually
update the Version List F9803051. In the Version list the environment is
stored in one of the fields so if you copied CRP to DEV you have to update
this field in DEV to reflect 'DEV' and not CRP - this field should be easy
to find since if will have the wrong environment (path for central objects)
written into it.

When you copy a environment to another, the R98403 blanks out the location
field of the versions table. You have to do a SQL update to that column and
point it to the destination environment. I stumbled across this awhile back
in B733.1 and B733.2, I don't know if this is still an issue with Xe.

Also, if you used the JDE tools to copy the versions table, the environment field
(VRENHV) will be blank in the F983051 table. You'll need to manually insert it.

Thank you all.

You were all correct. There were two fields in the R983051 that were blank
that should have had my pathcode and deployment server names in them. I
manually (SQL) inserted them and everything is okay.

This list is great isn't it!!!!!
