UBE to add 300 new users?

We're going live in a few weeks and I need to add 300 or so new users. I have an Excel spreadsheet with their info. Is there a relatively painless way of setting up these new users through a UBE?

Remember that when you add users to the system you have 3 areas to address.

1) P0092 (User Profiles)
2) P98OWSEC (User passwords)
3) P95921 (Role Relationships)

You would need to automate all 3 of those things. I think you will find it a lot easier to enter them manually. A couple of people doing this should only take a day.

Just so you don't lose your mind later, you may also want to consider creating employee address book entries (F0101) so you can tie the user ID to a name (and perhaps e-mail address (F01151) and telephone number (F0115)) for use down the road.

From experience, JSMITH1 and JSMITH2 may be confusing later.

I thought there was a z-process to import new users. You might want to wander into the world of z-files and see if it still exists.

If my failing, wasn't so good anyway memory serves...R0092 creates user profiles from all AB entries with 'E' search type.
