We just migrated from B7331 to OW XE about 2 weeks ago. OW XE update 5, sp 19. Enterprise server is WinNT 4.0, MS SQL Server 7.0 sp 3.
We have users that use MS Excel to perform MS Query via OneWorld ODA to the JDE database to extract data. In this particular case the user selects some items in F4102 and link it to F4101 on ShortItemIdentifier to get other items in F4101.
In MS Query, when user clicks on the "Add Table" button and select on F4101, the hour glass cursor will remain for a long time. The tempdb on MS Server will then increase very fast, growing to the restricted size limit within minutes. The size limit is 2.7 GB. The initial size is only 40 MB. We have to "End Task" the MS Query to save the tempdb.
We stopped users from using ODA till we find out the problem. We did not have this problem in B7331.
Has anyone use ODA in OW XE in a similar way? Any problems? Any suggestions on how I can solve this problem?
MDAC 2.6 sp 1 on ES and client workstation. MS Office 2000 SR-1 on client workstation.
