Hi All,

Is there anyone doing the development on Citrix? I know there was some
report design aid was allowed after the SP12.x.. but I am not how safe it
is.. Could you please share your experiences with us?
Also I do know that risk factor is reduced with the every SP Release but I
do not know how far JDE Came up for SP18.1 .. Right now We are on SP18.1.Our
users wanted to create version on citrix and they should be able to check it
in the versions they created.

and also I know there is a way to run the reports to run locally on
citrix. How do I do that?

Thanks

Really, the official view is no development since it locks the TAM files for specific objects, and that COULD cause some issues.

However, since OMW was introduced with the Token system - I personally believe that it is extremely improbable that a user will be logged into the same citrix box twice and open up the same object. I've never seen an issue with Xe - but that doesn't mean that one could occur.

If you really want to do remote development, I would strongly suggest using VNC to remotely control a development workstation. However, VNC is not as fast as ICA over a WAN.

Therefore, try connecting to a citrix session using ICA (the citrix client) and then INSIDE that session, run the VNC Viewer and remotely control a developer workstation. This gives you the benefits of running ICA over your low-speed connection, and the reliability and security of VNC between the Citrix machine and the Development machine :

User ---- ICA ---- Citrix Server ---- VNC ---- Development PC
