is it compulsory to use as 400 as dbase for jde .can we use dbase like ms access.thx

you can use most major dbase applications.
oracle,
sql,
db4
db4/udb

personally.....oh wait, that will start a flame war. Make sure you read the JDE documentation for all necessary information regarding DB handeling.

I can't believe Jer would event hint at that personal stuff....

btw - yes, MS Access is an option (it is what is used within the standalone). It would be single user / single system, though....

Thus, personally, I cannot recommend it as your DB Backend...
