RE: How to Change OneWorld password \"JDE\"

Changing the User Profile "JDE" password.

How to change the password for the packaged OneWorld user profile
"JDE" is not documented in one place. Here are all the steps involved:

Change all references to the JDE password in the jde.ini on the
Enterprise server. (Some are for OneWorld, some are for the database:
SQL, Oracle, or DB2. This is why it is easier to make the JDE password
the same in OneWorld, SQL server, and on the AS/400.)
Change the JDE OneWorld User Profile's password. (Make it the same as
the database password. This makes change references to the JDE password
in the jde.ini much easier.)
Change the JDE sign on security password in OneWorld. (The system
user/password is for SQL and the AS/400.)
Change the JDE user's password in SQL and on the AS/400.
Stop the JDE services.
Start the JDE services.

NOTE: It is NOT recommended that the password be changed for the
JDE profile.
There have been problems when a new update release has been
installed
and the JDE password had been changed.

It would be advisable to first check with JD Edwards before
changing the
password for this User Profile.
