Scheduler Failing

We have a bit of a funny going on. Every so often we seem to lose a number of scheduled jobs from the schedule. E.g. we have a job which runs 'every weekday' and is scheduled 6 jobs ahead. Then sudenly we find that there are just 2 jobs scheduled and the rest have 'disappeared'.

We have linked this to running the purge scheduled jobs program.

Anyone seen this, any ideas, fixes etc. would be welcome.

Everyytime you purge the swcheduled jobs the remaining jobs are also deleted
and as an added bonus no new jobs are created. If I run the purge I just set
a new start date for EVERY scheduled job and it works after that. Not ideal
but I'm hoping someone will offer a better solution.

Since you mention that this is linked to running the purge scheduled jobs program, you may want to look at your data selection you use for running the purge program. If you are using data selection based on a date being less than a certain value, then it may be purging scheduled jobs that haven't yet run (which have null or zero date values in some fields).

We run the purge schedules jobs program regularly and haven't had any problems with jobs disappearing.

It looks like it was to do with Scheduler Purge routine. JDE have got it at the moment but they are thinking the same.
