ODBC sign on (all of a sudden)

Just like to say the only change that has occurred is we changed the
OneWorld password, not JDE. This problem just started out of the blue
when signing on to OneWorld as JDE.

We are now being prompted for ODBC signon's when attempting to sign on
to OneWorld. When I enter the combination of qsecofr/password for "ALL"
the ODBC's I do actually get logged into OneWorld.

We are an iseies 400 shop with Client Access Express V5R1 and the
current service pack, OW xe, sp16.1 U3.

I ended OneWorld services, cleared IPC, stopped and started TCP and
started OneWorld and am still having this problem.

Any ideas would be very much appreciated.

Thank-You,

Michael

Ok...

So if I get this right.....your system was fine then you changed the Oneworld Password on the 400 and now you cannot log into JDE, it is asking for a database password.....

Michael,

Check on OW to see what user id that JDE uses on the AS400. Then go into
that user id and make sure it's enabled. sometimes when people can't get in
they try to sign into that screen and disable the password... other things
can cause it also but that's one thing to check.

Do you know what your security user is in the AS/400 JDE.INI?

Do you know what your users' security alias is?

Generally, when you get this problem, it would appear that ONEWORLD is your users' security alias.

Can you change your ONEWORLD password back, and see what happens? If that works, and you still want to change your ONEWORLD password, then you are in for a long job to change the security alias for all your users.
